WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

February 11th, 2016 at 2:00am

After stressing over midterms this past week, a brunch date was needed! My fellow classmate visited me and my friends at the St. John’s Paris campus from the Rome campus. How lucky are we by the way to be able to visit each other and travel from country to country for so cheap?! This weekend here in Paris, this Fashionista is rockin’ out for her Parisian brunch outfit.

This Fashionista is wearing a chic pair of high-waisted light pink plaid pants, a BonJour black and white graphic T-shirt with two black and white birds greeting each other. This graphic tee is an easy throw on for a simple day to day look, whether it’s for brunch, or site seeing with obvious comfort; plus it is always important to dress comfy for brunch. She wore her graphic T-shirt tucked in, and thrown on top is a motto leather jacket that literally goes with everything from an outfit for nightlife, site seeing, to brunch. This moto jacket is definitely versatile. This Fashionista also rocked a pair of simple black booties (also versatile,) and for a little warmth a faux fur headband which I thought completed her Parisian style perfectly! That faux fur headband definitely made her outfit stand out. Despite the gloomy, rainy weekend this fashionista made it appear anything but gloomy.

I definitely encourage anyone who has the chance to come to Paris one day to check out the cafes in San German, there are a variety of places to choose from and some of them even have cool historical backgrounds, such as Café de Flore which my favorite author Hemingway used to write in during World War I, along with many other writers and artists.

One Simple Change: Add on a little black choker for a little more edge which can be worn at a cafe or a girl’s night out dancing.

Hey there fashionistas! My name is Kahina Bessai, I am a junior at St. John's University and I am 20 years old! I was born and raised in Queens, New York! Although, I am very much a city girl attending an all girl school on the Upper East Side definitely changed my life. I began hanging out and exploring all of Manhattan. Manhattan's full of different fashion, depending on what area you are in, the fashion is different all around and I love being from the heart of the fashion industry. My style definitely has changed throughout the years, I used to dress extremely preppy with polo's, striped button downs, and riding boots, I did not wear a variety of color but just enough. I worked for Abercrombie and Fitch for a little over three years and that definitely impacted my style. Now that I am not working retail I find new styles on the streets of New York City, mostly Soho, which you can tell from my wardrobe because I'm more into wearing black, black and white stripes, beige, and lots of denim. I love reading Cosmo and Refinery 29 on my Snapchat App EVERY MORNING, it's literally a habit. First thing I do when I wake up is turn off my alarm and begin reading Cosmo. I learn so much from them from beauty tips to boys they've got everything covered. My internship at BLK DNM has come to an end and I am beginning a new chapter in Europe beginning January 12th! I will be studying abroad in Paris, Rome and Seville for 15 weeks, 5 weeks in each city! So join me on my journey on the first of every month I will have a blog post for you guys!
