STYLE GURU STYLE: Jumping For Jumpsuits

Summer is on the horizon! For some of us, that means graduation and the foray into the working world. That doesn’t mean we can’t have some summertime fun with our wardrobe! After all, we should celebrate successfully completing college. That’s what I’m doing. The jumpsuit is a perfect summer ensemble to take you from the boardwalk to the bar. Many designers displayed this in the floral and print trends. I was particularly inspired by this look from Rebecca Taylor, and I combined it with the bold print in this look from Karen Walker to come up with my ensemble in jumpsuit form.

I sported a loose fitting fauna patterned jumpsuit in bright green. The one piece is incredibly comfortable and lightweight enough for the hot summer sun, but the pants help to keep me warm once the sun goes down and the chill wind starts to blow. The easy outfit comes as a halter, strapless or any other way you would want. I paired my jumpsuit with neutrals in my favorite pair of wooden platform sandals and a vintage cross-body bag. With some sunblock, sunnies and sunshine, I’m ready to hit the beach or wherever else my day takes me.

The jumpsuit is definitely the way to go this summer. It’s perfect for beach days, parties and dinners—any occasion! Not to mention it’s super comfortable. I’ll definitely be implementing this trend in punchy prints all summer long and most likely into the next seasons, too!

Get My Look: 1. A loose fitting patterned jumpsuit. 2. Platform sandals. 3. Neutral cross-body bag.
