Hey fellow Fashionistas! I am currently a freshman at Roger Williams University studying journalism, and this is my first semester interning with CollegeFashionista. From my obsession with flipping through Vogue issues, to spending hours creating my own unique outfits, fashion has always been a major component of my life. For this reason, I am so excited to finally share my personal style with women who share the same interest as me.

I have received most of my inspiration from multiple style icons, ranging from Audrey Hepburn, to Kate Moss’s effortless elegance. Both of these women stand with various other fashion queens who have inspired components of my own style and have set the bar for specific fashion trends that live on today.

If you were to take a peek in to my closet, you would find a collection of thrifted flannels, graphic T-shirts, as well as distressed denim. Rare vintage pieces have always intrigued me and I strive to put a modern twist on them. This process has led to my passion for thrifting and in creating my own special style.

With this look, I decided to pull out my go-to Stussy graphic T-shirt, a piece I have found so versatile and fun. I paired the top with light washed jeans and my favorite suede thigh-high black boots, which have become a staple in my wardrobe. To add some color, I chose a hunter green bomber jacket. Finally, to tie the whole look together I accessorized with a bow tie choker—my ultimate fashion obsession. Seriously I don’t think I will ever get sick of the choker look!

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s amazing looks and I can’t wait to see what fashion-filled adventures this semester has in store!

Fashion is about originality and how you choose to express yourself to the world. I have always been obsessed with creating my own personal style that reflects who I am on the inside. I am constantly on the look out for upcoming trends but also love vintage pieces. You can frequently find me rummaging through the racks at my local thrift store, looking for old pieces I can make new again. My trendy/alternative style is inspired by young fashion icons such as Zendaya, Kendall Jenner, and Vanessa Hudgens. However, I always find a way to alter their looks with a personal touch of my own. I am currently a sophomore at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island, majoring in Journalism. Stay stylin' xx.
