Hey there Fashionistas/os! I’m Mandisa, a rising senior at Syracuse University majoring in public relations. I’m so excited to kick off my fourth semester as a Style Guru here at CollegeFashionista.

To me fashion is more than just the clothes you wear. It’s an art form and a means of self expression. It’s a tool that can empower you to transform yourself into the person you want to be. Right now I would describe my personal style as minimalist and boho chic. I’m in love with the eclecticness of boho style. I also like simple details and neutral colors like nude, blush, black and white.

My fashion inspiration comes from street style that I see every day in my home of New York City. I also like to follow blogs and social media accounts for fresh ideas. I’ve found that having a means of expression has really helped me come into my fashion sense. I enjoy chronicling my fashion journey on my blog and YouTube channel.

For this look I’m wearing an off-the-shoulder crop top with a pair of high-waisted shorts. The shorts have a cute pom-pom detail at the hem; they’re also super soft and comfy, which is a plus must. For shoes I’m wearing a pair of platform booties. These are a killer piece that add an edge to any outfit. I accessorized this look with a black floppy hat, a minimalistic gold necklace and a set of gold rings.

I’m so excited to spend a summer relearning and exploring New York City. I can’t wait to delve into the campus fashion scene and share all of my favorite finds with you all!
