STYLE GURU BIO: Lucero Flores

Summer in the nation’s district, I think yes! I am so ecstatic to be writing to you all from D.C. this season and to show you all what fashion looks like living in a multicultural city. My inspiration this season is definitely all about sophistication, glam and bohemian adventures.

For my STYLE GURU BIO, I decided to wear threads that signify my inspiration from vintage looks in Vogue, nude colors and chicness. One of the most inspiring things I’ve seen all around in fashion in the last few years is the transformation of designers and brands by bringing out a collection of different styles and combining them together.

This summer it’s all about music festivals, adventures and road trips so that means being comfy all around. Choosing the best shirt, pants and shoes goes hand in hand. For this season, I want to emphasize my gorgeous pants from Abercrombie & Fitch. This brand has definitely taken a huge transformation in taking inspiration from designers but also using flashback styles from the ’70s to make their name. These multi-color comfy all around pants that flare out are a perfect combination with brown wooden wedges from one of my favorite brands GUESS, overlays perfectly with a cream nude blouse that links together my blue royal princess ring from KAY Jewelers. What makes me most happy about this outfit is that glam, boho and class all fit in one.

Summer will definitely go beyond this style this summer into what I like to call originality, combination and glamour.

Hello Collegefashionistas, I am so excited to be writing to you all from the nation's district this summer and sharing with you all the fashion world in one of the most multicultural cities in the nation, DC. Sophistication, glam and bohemian adventures never go out of style in our world. I am currently a senior at American University double majoring in International Studies and Communication Studies and will be graduating Fall of 2016. I will additionally be interning with the Global Outreach department this summer at my church, where I will be traveling to the Philippines. I am so excited to continue to fulfill my dream of empowering young women and girls in every area of life. My dream is to one day work for International Justice Mission or the United Nations, be a leader of the women's ministry at McLean Bible Church and write for Marie Claire Magazine. Things I can't live without, the people I love the most in this world, Black Iced Tea Lemonade, sounds by KYGO, traveling and the Bible.
