Hey there! My name is Erin Mathews, and I’m so excited to be a spring 2017 Style Guru here at CollegeFashionista. I’m currently a junior communications student at Cedarville University, which is located in Southwest Ohio.

I love all things artsy and I hope to be a stylist/professional photographer once I graduate. When I’m not taking photos, writing, or doing art/music things, I’m probably working out at the gym. Weightlifting is another big passion of mine, and I really enjoy leading a healthy and fit lifestyle. If I’m not at the gym, you can find me at a coffee shop enjoying time spent with friends or working on my blog.

My style is heavily inspired by ’90s grunge fashion, as well as minimalist trends. The style icon that I look up to the most is the singer/pop icon Lorde. I live in high-waisted jeans, bodysuits, and Dr. Martens. I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to my unique fashion and beauty picks, and I think it’s so fun to express yourself in the clothes and makeup that you choose.

This look is one of my go-to outfits. I paired a simple, button-front skirt with a lattice-back, black bodysuit. The weather here in Ohio has been cold and wet, so I added tights and knee-high socks for warmth with my maroon combat boots.

I find style and beauty inspiration from all sorts of places, including the fashion bloggers that I follow on Instagram, and my super trendy college friends. I love meeting and getting to know new people and inspiring others through my photographs, words, style, and passion for fitness.
