Hello Fashionistas! My name is Abigail Shatrau. I am currently a sophomore at SUNY Oneonta. I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising, currently enrolled in the Three-in-One program with F.I.T. This means that I spend three years at SUNY Oneonta and then finish out my school at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. So far, I love the program and have met so many wonderful people that I hope will be with me through the end of my fashion career.

I am 19 years old, and I am from the small city of Oswego, New York. I have a twin brother and an older sister that are both very close to me. Growing up in a small town can make it hard to figure out the full extent to which my fashion expression can be reached. Yet, being able to meet new people and become an independent person while away at school has allowed for me to really submerse myself into my true fashion sense. I feel that at college a person is really able to get out there and be who they want to be. This has been the best experience for me, and it now makes me realize that I am doing exactly what I love and strive to do. Ever since I was little, I loved to do everything artsy, crafty and creative. So what I love about my major is that it can be all about the detail work and little things.

Besides my passion for fashion, I am extremely intrigued by nutrition and health. I love being outdoors, going on walks, running and overall just being active. I recently transitioned into a vegan lifestyle and that has been quite a big step and change in my life. I love everything about it so far and wouldn’t go back for anything. It has blossomed my world of knowledge and gives me a greater appreciation for things in life. This lifestyle is a very important part of who I am, and it does have a huge impact on how I wear and style my clothes.

For my STYLE GURU BIO, you can see that I love the minimalistic look. I love neutral shades and simple pieces. To show what reflects my style most, I paired a lovely maroon romper with a simple black hat and lace kimono over top for extra layers and dimension to the outfit. I love using makeup and jewelry to add that touch of detail that intensifies dimension to any look. I would say that my style definitely blossoms the most during the colder seasons since I live in a colder climate. However, I love to layer and by removing or adding a few pieces. Many of the things I put together can be transitioned from season to season making them so versatile.

Hello Fashionistas! My name is Abigail Shatrau. I am currently a junior at SUNY Oneonta. I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising, currently enrolled in the 3 in 1 program with F.I.T. This means that I spend 3 rad years at SUNY Oneonta and then finish out my school at the Fashion Institute of Technology. I am 20 years old and I am from the small city of Oswego, New York. I have a twin brother and an older sister that I continue to look up to and strive to be like. Besides my passion for fashion I am extremely intrigued by nutrition and health. I love being outdoors, going on walks, running, and overall just being active. I recently transitioned into a vegan lifestyle and that has been quite a big step and change in my life. I am loving everything about it so far and wouldn't change back for anything. Growing up in a small town can make it hard to figure out the full extent to which fashion expression can be reached. However, ever since I was little I loved to do everything artsy, crafty, and creative. I am not one to think up many original ideas of my own, but what I love about my major is that it can be all about the detail work, like the little things that matter, and its about collaborating with people, blossoming ideas through one another. To me that is so important because art, creativity, and everything fashion should be shared. We are all unique individuals that have unique ways of thinking and expressing ourselves. Just like College Fashionista, spreading ideas is what makes life more interesting and it brings us closer with people who love those same things as well. I hope that I do not let any of you down in my journey as a College Fashionista, I wish you all the best! Bisous, Abigail Shatrau
