STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: How To Rock A Fur Vest

February 5th, 2015 at 2:00am

Winter is a pretty classy season for fashion. Rock a faux fur vest this winter, and show off the style with confidence! Dress it up for dinner in the city with friends, or dress it down for a casual hang out at your favorite coffee shop. Think of a fur vest as an accessory that will really help dress up an outfit or add the final touch!

Never be afraid to pair your fur vest with something you’re not sure will look good. I cannot tell you how many times I was afraid to put something together because I was scared that it would look bad on me. Sometimes you just have to try it on; the end result might be better than you think!

Let’s go over some tips for how to style faux fur vests this winter. This Fashionista dresses up her fur vest with some dark-washed jeans. I’m not much of a jeans fan, personally, but with her colorful boots, bold jewelry and fur vest, the jeans help even out the rest of her outfit. Plus, they totally look good. Another way I would suggest wearing a fur vest is with a dress to go out at night. It really helps embody that timeless old Hollywood look that I love. Let the fur vest do the talking. When wearing it, you won’t have to worry about much else when it comes to your outfit. A fur vest is a statement all on its own.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Wear what works for you! If you don’t feel comfortable in something, change it. Fashion is about confidence. The more confident you feel in something, the more people will catch onto that. That to me is true fashion. Own whatever you’re wearing!”

Lauren. Lo. LoBerry. LoB. Call me any one of these things and I'll respond. I have a habit of quoting Carrie Bradshaw. When I write at my computer I look out the window and like to think I'm in a little apartment in NYC too. I love the 80's. The 80's meaning The Breakfast Club or basically anything John Hughes related. I'm recently in love with heart-eyed sunglasses. I dream of going to New Mexico sometimes, but maybe that's just because I really love turquoise. I also can't speak any languages even though I have taken Spanish for 6 years. Gracias. In the end I hope to one day be at Glamour Magazine's "Women of the Year" event. Give me 10 years.
