We all know the phrase “less is more,” and in the fashion world, less can be perfection. Little details in an outfit like jewelry, shoes, and makeup complete an outfit and make it unique to the model wearing it. We all have our own go-to accessories that look good with every outfit and makes the Fashionista/o cool, calm, and collected. These outfits are usually simple, classy, and emphasize the incredible details that help create an effortless look.
Certain looks are all about the details, especially this Fashionista’s! She is rocking her favorite top that she snagged while across the pond in London. The blouse has huge trendy ruffles with mesh shoulders and collar. It’s the Twist X Turn top from Topshop. She pairs the outfit with cream linen pants from Ann Taylor. Now, for the accessories… The shoes add a pop of color to the outfit. She got her turquoise lace-up heeled sandals from JustFab.com for 15 dollars—bargain! Her watch is a limited edition Fossil watch matched with her gold hoop earrings and ear cuffs. She completes the outfit with a low bun and a french braid crown. She added a little teal eyeliner to match her shoes and a little highlighter on her cheeks to make the outfit fierce!
This outfit is perfect for any special occasion from a bridal shower to a fancy brunch in New York City. All the small details and choices we make while picking the perfect outfit are super important. Details and accessories tie an outfit together. One simple necklace, shoe, or purse can make your outfit pop and make you look rad. From the ruffled detailed blouse to the turquoise heeled sandals, anyone can create a similar unique look. Next time you are looking to make a statement at a special occasion, don’t forget, it’s is all about details, details, details!

Hi, Fashionista’s! My name is Caroline Verdic and I am from New Jersey. I am currently a student at Marist College studying business marketing and fashion merchandising. I am obsessed with fashion; it is my passion. I’ve grown up with fashion. My mother worked in the industry and absolutely loved it. Growing up, I always had a sense of style. Even at a young age, I would play dress up in my mother closet; walking around in her high heels, wearing her jewelry, and trying on her lipsticks. She knew from that young of an age that I would explore the fashion world when I was older.
Growing up so close to the fashion capital of the world, I got to experience the many different styles and looks found in New York City. I gain so much inspiration from magazines, on social media, even people walking around every day. I see how so many people have their own unique style that fits their personality. I love this quote by Rachel Zoe, “style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.” I would say my sense of style is trendy, I love to follow the trends and add a little spin to it. Trends are always changing so one day I could go for a preppy look to the next day edgy, then to boho chic. If I am going for a casual look, I will always go for an athleisure style. I love to experiment with styles and even mix trends.
Currently, I am obsessed with accessories. I love a nice big earring or necklace, or even the perfect lip color and bag combo to spice up your outfit and make you stand out. I love a great accent piece that just ties the outfit all together. I have also recently become obsessed with sneakers; I feel as though I need every pair I see. I love to run but now that the newest trend is wearing sneakers with dresses, skirts, shorts, and pants is trending, I am fully taking advantage buying more sneakers; although my bank account may not like that!
I am so extremely happy and excited to join the CollegeFashionista Style Guru family and I am so excited to share my articles with you! Don’t forget to #stayRADandFAB
