I am a media studies major with a concentration of journalism and have a minor in English. As a hobby I write poetry and stories. I knew that writing was my calling so once I learned about College Fashionista I did not hesitate to apply. This combines two of my favorite things, fashion and writing. I look at fashion as a mirror. It reflects you who are. It allowed me to express myself in a way I couldn’t before. Through fashion I was able to embrace who I am as a woman and showcase that to people. I will not say I have a specific style because I like to play around with different styles, prints, and colors. I love playing with accessories and make-up to take a basic outfit to the next level. For example, taking a plain black dress and pairing it with a colorful, bold necklace. I like to show different sides of myself in a day-to-day basis. Clothes help me to build myself esteem because I show off my best assets. It is important to me to feel my absolute best. I get inspirations from my friends, YouTube, Instagram and Tumblr. My favorite places to shop are Forever 21, American Eagle Outfitters and Necessary Clothing. I have started my own YouTube channel. My channel focuses on all things beauty: fashion, make-up, hair, and inner beauty. I also started a fashion blog to showcase my style entitled poetsemptycloset.tumblr.com. I am very excited to be part of this team. I hope you enjoy the content.
