Living in Austin, Texas, we receive the best of both worlds. During the hot summer days, we face the central Texas humidity, but we also face the bundle up temperatures during the cold winter nights. It can be hard to dress up for an occasion when we’re faced with constant unpredictable weather.
Since Texas doesn’t encounter cold weather for a long period of time, it is interesting to see how people take on the season. As I was walking across campus, I came across this Fashionista that simply stood out amongst her peers.
The leopard coat is what caught my attention. A leopard coat makes almost every winter outfit look cool and chic. From top to bottom, she paired the coat with cool, dark tones to complement her bangs and dark lip.
Underneath the coat, she wore a simple polka-dot top with dark jeans and strappy ankle boots. Usually it’s safe to stay away from too much pattern play, but the polka-dot top was the perfect non-clashing combo to the leopard print.
Since the coat and top are statement pieces, she kept it simple by adding a small, dainty gold and black choker. It is the perfect outfit for a day out on the town and a dinner with some friends.
