ALL IN THE DETAILS: Colorful Class

June 3rd, 2015 at 2:00am

When rummaging through your closet in the midst of this spring and summer limbo, it may seem difficult to plunge back into colors again. You may unintentionally lean towards a simple yet repetitive black and white color scheme. We’re all guilty of it. However, do not fear; only a pop of color can make a significant and stylish difference.

Believe me, a multi-colored outfit is not for everyone. But, as summer emerges along with new trends, it is becoming crucial to incorporate some brighter patterns within your everyday wardrobe. Bright patterns encourage positivity, sophistication and class—three very important traits of a true Fashionista.

This Fashionista proves to utilize the color pop in more ways than one. She rocks the wide leg bohemian style while exhibiting color, character and most importantly, comfort. Paired with a simple black cropped tank top, a fierce white leather jacket and a few colorful jewelry pieces, she is ready to paint the town, or maybe just grab coffee with friends.

It is important to challenge yourself, if only a little every day. The easiest way is to spice up your wardrobe and try something new. You never know what good could come of it!

How To: Not about the bohemian look? Trade in the boho-chic look for a colorful pair of cigarette bottoms or even a printed skirt. It’s all about that pop!

Hello, I’m Audrey! I attend Syracuse University in upstate New York, but was born and raised in the San Francisco, California Bay Area. My first year away from home was a tough one, but I learned so much about myself and I can’t wait to be back on campus in the fall! My style consists of funky statement pieces, an array of neutral colors, a perfect combination of jewelry and always a swipe of colorful lipstick. My favorite stores include ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Top Shop and Free People, but I rely heavily on thrift stores to help finish off an incomplete outfit. You can most likely find me on a hike, in the local coffee shop, online shopping, or eating my way through the Bay Area. Style on!
